Just another data point. I got one of these shortly after moving from
2.0.27 to 2.0.30 an a 20MB 486DX2/66 Laptop (Midwest Micro Elite
Soundbook). No ECC. No DMA. I then upgraded from utils-2.5 to 2.6 and
fixed my startup scripts to use hwclock instead of clock. No more NMI
errors have shown up, but my max load was recompiling the kernel while
downloading a large file with Netscape and printing out some docs. Free
showed about 8Mb of swap in use.
