pppd forgot to specify route netmask with 2.1.36

I have compliled ifconfig from net-tools-1.32-alpha to avoid the problem
in the /var/log/debug file:

What' s wrong?

My /etc/init.d/network is:

ifconfig lo 127.0.0.1
iproute add 127/8 dev lo
