Possible K6 solutions for Linux

This may only hold true for the ASUS P/I-P55T2P4, but upgrading
your BIOS to the latest version (ver 0203-5) might help. It is
in the BETA directory but has this in regards to K6's:


P/I-(X)P55T2P4 Intel 430HX chipset M/B, BIOS Beta ver 0203-5.

1. Fix parity error generated when AMD-K6 installed & ECC/PARITY enable.
2. Fix IRQ 15 not functioning if Secondary IDE is disabled.


Which is worse: ignorance or apathy?  Who knows?  Who cares?
Most of your faults are not your fault.
If you think bus-mastering is what Sanda Bullock did in
"Speed", you might be a redneck.
