I have a updatedb (for locate) running every morning and since
2.1.3x (I jumped from 2.1.29 to 2.1.36 so I don't know when the
changes were made) I see lots of these messages when I wakeup.
The number greatly depend on the CD that is in the drive. Unfortunately
I didn't have time to look into the code to see what is happening.
