Just figured I'd add that 2.1.38 and 2.1.39 have hung completely on my
home box as well. The crashes all seem to come on network access, but
other than that there's no real pattern. The box is hung solid when
they occur (no network, no syslogd, no mouse, no VC, no magic keys, no
error messages, etc.).... Let me know if you want specifics of my
configuration or anything else that might help. For now, back to
2.1.37.
