When I rebooted I noticed a bit of a slowdown. It got *much* worse once I
started compiling glibc 2.0.4. glibc is written in such a way that the
scrolling from make's output is nearly continuous in some areas. When it
hits those, console output may stop for several complete seconds before
resuming. It isn't just the console output either. If I type an 'ls', for
example, I won't see the 'ls' (or I'll hit enter and it'll pause), and
then I'll see the output later.
Granted, it's possible I'm experiencing some wierdness with the new
Slackware installation, but I somehow doubt it.
