Unless I have my facts wrongs, linux can support two or more video
adapters. The question is whether your system BIOS will be comfortable
with it. I've seen many systems where plugging in a new board into the PCI
bus disables the old video card. But it comes back to the question of
whether the BIOS will support it.
The Metrolink X server can apparently support up to 4.
