Fellow SCSI hackers:

I know this is slightly off-topic, but enough people have asked me for the
URLS for the SCSI-2 specification that I am going to post them to the list
so I don't have to keep bouncing the same thing out to people. Here they
are:

HTML: http://abekas.com:8080/SCSI2/
TEXT: ftp://ftp.std.com/obi/Standards/ANSI/SCSI-2/

For examples of `generic', user-level SCSI programming on Linux, I
recommend that you take a look at Juergen P. Meier's
<jor@muecke.rz.fh-muenchen.de> utility on sunsite called 'unload.' It
shows how to fill in the appropriete fields in a request and pipe it down
to a device file. I am not an expert on SCSI or Linux/SCSI programming,
but the little I have done was greatly facilitated by this example.

For the sake of reducing list noise, please continue any
discussion on this topic via private email.

Regards,

Jeremy
