Ah but how stable is 0.42? 0.40 and 0.41 were a bit of a disaster I'm
afraid. The version of 3c59x.c in 2.0.31-pre2 is the only version I've
ever used that has been stable for our setup here. Currently...

And no Tx-hangs :-)
We do have a couple of stuck sockets however, one in "CLOSE" and another
in "CLOSE_WAIT". This is after 50 days. Perhaps thay are attribuatable to
the random TCP memory leaks etc. Alan mentioned in that informative mail
on the state of 2.0.30 networking.

I'd be very happy to hear the hangs are fixed in 0.42...?
