^^^^^ This is your problem. Known problem in this driver.
There is currently a 0.42 driver on Donald Becker's site but there
is now a 0.42m driver that I heard several people say is even better. I've
got the 0.42 driver in service and works great outside of an occasional
pause for time-out and recovery. This is suppose to be fixed in 0.42m and
I'm pressing it into service shortly. The URL for the 0.42m driver is
