Also exists in non-SMP version, starting from 2.1.46. I use SVGATextMode
to have readable text on my fixed-frequency monitor, and it's fonts
get corrupted after some time. Only a few scanlines of the fonts are
corrupted, so text is still readable. Restarting SVGATextMode fixes this,
until it happens again. Corruption mostly occurs when running netscape,
but I've also seen this happen when starting X. Also, X `freezes'
for a while when this happens; switching VC's or logging in melts it
again.

Sorry, no oops. But it makes me wonder whether my files are safe :-)
