When will my UltraATA drive be supported?

I have a Gateway 2000 Pentium II 233mhz machine..And of course linux
doesn't detect my UltraAta hard drive...I was wondering when a fix/patch
will be released so I can install Linux on my machine? :) No rush..Just
wondering if it was being worked on . Thanks!
