Hello there,

i am new here and i have a problem: today i saw following
kernel-message:

Kernel: VFS No free inodes - contact linus

and the system hung-up.

What does this messages mean ?

In /usr/src/linux/include/linux/fs.h i found:

NR_INODES = 3072 ( This seems to be too little )

NR_FILE = 1024

NR_OPEN = 2048

Whats the meaning about these parameters and can i increase them without

risk ???
