I've fantasized about this for years.

CPU, I/O bus, memory bus, the works - all designed GNU-style.

You'd need a company willing to manufacture it of course, to take
chances with their money until it becomes anywhere near mainstream.

I don't see this happening any time soon, but I wouldn't mind being
surprised.
