I did not ignore it. I spent much time reading every opinion and alternative
pro or con, and I agree that the CM design is a good idea. There are lots
of good ideas (and no shortage of people telling me I'm a fool.)
I have gone ahead and implemented the /proc/pcibus patches to get it into
peoples hands. Hopefully I can get an idea if I'm on the right track. I think
I am, but the result may well coincide with (or be consumed by) David's work.
