users don't have 5 or more Gigs for Linux.
Imagine such huge packages as emacs or Netscape bound in a fat
whatever format! If you bind emacs for all Linux known
architectures, you get packages with a HUGE weight.
Emacs would be near 100 Megs!

RPM extensions could be a very good solution indeed.
