I have verified it. Works just fine <g>. Thanks Doug! It's already been
merged by Linus into the latest 2.0.31-pre10 release, BTW.
On another subject, what do you (or any of the aic7xxx hackers) know about
IBM DFHS S4W drives? It's a wide-SCSI single-ended unit that I picked up
last weekend. The drive is blazing fast, but simply won't cooperate with
the newest 2.1.56 aic7xxx driver when tagged queueing is enabled. The
probe appears to occur correctly, then blows up with endless
rapidly-scrolling console messages. I can't really read what's happening,
but there is something in there about "..refusing Wide negotiation" and
another remark about resetting the bus.
When I reboot under an _old_ (~4/97) version of the aic driver (tagged
queueing disabled), it comes up just fine. Is this drive a known problem?
