With pre10 I get kernel compiles failing with "virtual memory exhausted"
on a system with 64M RAM and 50M swap. Never happened before (p10-2 included)
and this machine does lots of kernel compiles. It does not happen every time,
in fact only twice, and on both occasions it was the first compile after
a reboot.
