I recompiled 2.1.57 with Bill Hawes' nfs client, dcache, and inode
patches last night, and while having it sit and do nothing for the most part
of the day, I come home, check on the console, and find the following. this is
also entered into syslog:
Sep 29 18:05:30 aurania kernel: shrink_inodes: freeing 2
Sep 29 18:05:30 aurania kernel: shrink_inodes: freeing 1
Sep 29 18:05:30 aurania last message repeated 2 times

Sep 29 18:07:28 aurania kernel: shrink_inodes: freeing 6
Sep 29 18:07:28 aurania kernel: shrink_inodes: freeing 3
Sep 29 18:07:28 aurania kernel: shrink_inodes: freeing 2

Sep 29 18:08:01 aurania kernel: shrink_inodes: freeing 4
Sep 29 18:08:01 aurania kernel: shrink_inodes: freeing 2
I understand that new inode management has been introduced in Bill's
patch, and it looks like it's an excellent feature, but I would like to make
sure.. is this an actual bug in the patch, or a feature that will be added to
the next kernel?
