Network benchmark closely tied to kernel..

Could someone point me towards a good network benchmark program that puts
a lot of stress on the network sections of the linux kernel, specifically
the driver code? I want hard evidence that what I'm doing with regards to the
SMC Ultra driver is a good thing. :)
