Hmm... You're correct, we have BNC / TP cards, but they're set in the
card setup to BNC, rather than autoprobe. Unless the kernel itself is
overriding this and attempting to probe all the interfaces...

It seems the only way to specifically tell 3c59x.c (the driver) to look
at BNC _only_ is to compile the driver as a module and send it commands
with "append." But I fear that the driver has nothing to do with this --
v0.45 works fine under 2.0.30, so there's no reason to think it's
behaving badly under 2.1.x, is there? I suspect the kernel...
