FAT32 Problem

Dear sir,
we have the following problem with the last preinstalled versions of
Win95: the new FAT32 partition is not splittable by the fips.exe program
which is enclosed to the RedHat, Slackware and other versions of Linux
CD's.
We tried to e-mail Arno Schaefer, the author of fips, but there is an
automatic answer which clearly states that the FAT32 is an unresolved
problem and that now he is not working on an upgrade of fips (I enclose
the answer at the end of this e-mail).

Do you know if there is a simple way to split the FAT32 partition
in some way? It seems that the life becomes hard also if you are trying to
simplify it with Linux!

The problem is that we can not cancel completely the WIN95 partition
because:
1) this is a preinstalled O.S. and we have not the CD (and there are
only older version in the shops -version with FAT16-).
2) we can not use DOS to reformat the HD because DOS is not capable to
recognize the disk (due to the FAT32!!!), and the same for win95 older release
(the one which worked with FIPS...).

Thank you in advance,

Giuseppe Catastini and David Lucchesi
