For some strange reason only the mixer works with the sound drivers...
2.1.57 worked fine.
(cat /dev/sndstat fails with "cat: /dev/sndstat: Invalid argument")
I'm not sure how to trace it further...

This MAY have something to do with initially setting up the drivers for
GUS + SB-16 and then recompiling the sound-module without SB-16 support.
(I have both cards install - they share perfectly happily, providing
completely different IRQ's, ports, DMA, ... :)

So where can one get the modularized sound update for 2.1.60?
(individual modules rather than monolithic)
I expected that patch to go into the kernel around 2.1.53... (and I lost
the WWW address)

I'd really like to be able to use both my soundcards if possible...
[with more than just mixers]
