lp broken in 2.1.60 & 2.1.61

Hello,

I'm using kernel 2.1.61 but I have a serious problem with my printer. When I
print postscript files (converted by ghostscript), the printer prints junks
This happens in 2.1.60 and 2.1.61 but NOT in 2.1.59
I send the file with command
cat file.ps > /dev/lp0

My lpq output is

Printer: lp@einstvill 'panasonic'
Queue: no printable jobs in queue
Status: cannot open 'dev/lp0' - 'Device or resource busy' Sleeping 10 at
15:31:41

My device is
crw-rw---- 1 root daemon 6, 0 Apr 27 1995 lp0

any ideas?
