Token ring driver never times out if no network connection

Hi,

I am using 2.0.31 and slackware 3.1 and have just discovered
that the machine NEVER boots if the token network card is not
connected to the network. It connually prints error code 0011
and never completes booting.

My other NE2000 network times out and runs just fine if
no network is detected.

I have an IBM Turbo 16/4 Token Ring ISA card.
