2.1.62 still freezes

Well, the subject says almost all, I still have 'console freezes' with
2.1.62 (not surprising since we don't know what causes it).
I'll try to do a little debugging this week-end if I find the time.
One thing I noticed, that I didn't notice before: when my consoles are
frozen, I can't type anything. However, I use tty6 as a logging console
(syslogd logs to it, and there is no login process on it), and I can STILL
type and see something written on screen on this console. I don't know if
it is any help though. Does it look like all user process are dead, or am
I just shooting wide off the mark ?
