I also am getting:

# hdparm -p /dev/hda

/dev/hda:
attempting to auto-tune PIO mode
HDIO_SET_PIO_MODE failed: Function not implemented

This is on a ASUS P55TP4XE (430FX) mobo. Certainly the kernel is suppose
to support it. Under 2.0.31 it is just fine. But under 2.1.6X (including
.62) it fails.
