I am writing a device driver for a character device and am at the
point where I am writing the device control. My question is what is
the best/correct way to handle device control. I am leaning toward
ioctl but I could just as easily do stream control or even a separate
device for control. I suspect this subject has been talked to death
but unfortunately I've missed it. So any advice would be useful to
prevent rewriting at a later time.
