When I boot the system, I no longer get the kernel status messages on
bootup. It says "booting the kernel" and then the next thing I get is my
login prompt. The messages are showing up in the messages log file
however. Is there something that needs to be updated on my system to run
the newer kernels. I have looked through the changes document and
everything seems to be up to date. It is possible that I missed something
though.
