Thanks to everyone on the list who responded to our troubles with their
experiences and on-target advice. We're running the 2.0.31 kernel now and
things seem to have straightened up - at least to the extent that
everything is again usable and stable.

A Really Fat THANKS! to the folks at the University of Helsinki in
Finland- You guys make the linux world go 'round :)
