The bug workaround doesn't work for me unfortunately.. here is my
/proc/cpuinfo

processor : 0
cpu : 586
model : Pentium 75+
vendor_id : GenuineIntel
stepping : 11
fdiv_bug : no
hlt_bug : no
sep_bug : no
pentium_f00f_bug : yes
fpu : yes
fpu_exception : yes
cpuid : yes
wp : yes
flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr mce cx8
bogomips : 53.04

This is the output when I run the exploit..

<c1800fc8/c1800ff8>
<handler c0109b00... ... done>

The system then locks up, it still responds to numlock keypresses, and
switching consoles, and it echoes characters back to the screen.. but all
programs stop responding, and CTRL+ALT+DEL doesn't work so I have to hit
reset.

I've heard people with stepping 12 have no problems, maybe this is it? On
an unrelated note, msdos module has unresolved symbols, and squake segfaults
on exit complaining about /dev/dsp.. I havn't the exact details with me at
the moment though.

Sorry to bring the bad news :(
