I have problems while connected to my ISP via linux 2.1.7[0-4].
I am using ppp-2.3.2 and the newest modutils.
What happens?
Mail transfers via fetchmail (also newest version) simply
stopps in the middle of the transfer. Or: The modem
suddenly hangups. Or suddenly not one byte goes through
the cable anymore. Nothing else. No OOPS no "others".
Simply: No transfer.
If I go back to -- for example -- v2.1.57 of the kernel,
the problems disappear and all works fine.
What's wrong there? Do I miss a vital information about
somthing to tweak/update/patch/hack with the newer versions
of the kernel? Are these probls due to the new signal-thingies?
