I don't think this is a "new" Pentium bug. The Pentium (all known classes)
have absimal performance compared to the '486 when using the "built-in"
macro instructions such as rep movsb,movsw, scansb,scansw, etc. Also the
"loop" instruction is slower than dec ecx; jnz;.. These are "known"
performance problems that seemed to occur when the Pentium went RISC"y".

I read the web page and don't see anything new, just new hype.
