the new ide-pci.c code prints a line when checking the reported
IRQ which seems garbled in syslog output:
[root@dogbert /root]# grep PIIX4 /var/log/messages | tail -1
Jan 5 12:34:00 dogbert kernel: PIIX4: not 100ative mode: will probe irqs later
^^^^^^^^
but otherwise is fine in the dmesg ring:
[root@dogbert /root]# dmesg | grep 100
PIIX4: not 100% native mode: will probe irqs later
Apart from this all bells and whistles seem to keep working
(hdparm -t still gets over 10MB/sec for my Quantum 4110MB, and
goes over 39MB/sec for hdparm -T).
