Just reporting a problem I get on my P133/32mb/RedHat 5 and my SB16..
After an uptime of about 2 hours, constantly playing mp3 audio files in X
with Netscape, a couple of BitchXs, some xterms, pine, rc5 client..
(Read fairly heavy RAM consumption) I get clicks and pops in the sound..

It seems to coincide with my hard disk light flashing. Interesting? I
figure since they both use DMA, maybe there is some sort of clash?? But I
doubt it, they use completely different DMA channels. I read some time
before that there is problems with running out of RAM and allocating DMA
buffers.. Maybe this is it? Anyway, I don't have a clue as to what it
could be, I just know it happens. Here are some details that might be
useful. Sound compiled as module.. removing then reinserting the sound &
sb modules seems to fix the problem.. hmm!
