I haven't been following this closely, but started seeing discussion
about things like c0b1u1l0p1 etc.

Anyone thought about existing naming schemes? Pulling out my old ESIX
manuals, svr4.0 uses things like /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 (or
/dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s0 for the raw device) for SCSI. I believe it stands
for controller, target, disk, slice. I think HPUX also uses this, or
something similar.
