CONFIG_SMP

Why is it that the SMP=1 has not been moved into the config process.
In the Makefile it says that it makes reconfig messy and a lot of files
depend on it, but i can't see anywhere where this is necessary.. it looks
as if it should be very easy to simply add it to the config process.
