LARGE MEMleak with /dev/zero, 2.1.78

I tested more.

cat /dev/zero does not leak
telnet localhost chargen < /dev/zero leaks.
telnet localhost chargen | telnet localhost chargen >/dev/null does not leak

i.e. after killing that telnet the memory (lots of megs) is permanently
lost until reboot and does not show up anywhere.
Probably has nothing to do with threads I wrote last about.

any user can take the kernel down within minutes !

Hope it is enough of information for someone to start investigating the
problem. I dont know that part of kernel.
RH50 up to date here on p90 64MB RAM genuine intel with 2.1.78
