I see the same behaviour. Would the author please step up and take a
look at this code:

/* drivers/block/Config.in */
if [ "$CONFIG_PARPORT" = "y" -o "$CONFIG_PARPORT" = "n" ] ; then
define_bool CONFIG_PARIDE_PARPORT y
else
define_bool CONFIG_PARIDE_PARPORT m
fi

It seems rude to define CONFIG_PARIDE_PARPORT when CONFIG_PARPORT=n.
What's going on here?
