The things became only a bit more natural, sort of "ifconfig eth0:0- ..."
is replaced with "ifconfig eth0:0 down".
They are not equivalent only from the viewpoint of so-called
"advanced applications": routing daemons etc.
Moreover, most of them are not affected, if they do not want
to use advanced API. F.e. gated-3.5, as distributed by merit,
and its brothers must continue to work as they always worked.
