2.1.80 works fine for me! (compiled with egcs 98-01-15)

Despite all the reports of death and horror with 2.1.80, I have NO
(new) problems. SB sound works, Audio CD's work, PPP works, Netscape
works. And quake II works :)
There seems to be some kind of speedup for PPros. I think I'm getting
a significantly faster framerate in quakeII and redraw rate in Netscape.
I used egcs 980115 with -mpentiumpro -O6.
Only problems are:
a)unregister_proc_table: xxx not empty!
b) modprobe: can't locate module ^L2^H@0- (repeated ~10^10 times ;)
