On a new install of Redhat 5.0, I compiled 2.0.33 (and pre-2.0.34) and am
getting random oops. Probably twice a day. Most aren't taking the system
down, but there have been a few that aren't logged and the machine goes down
cold.
This is the same machine that had RedHat 4.2/2.0.32 and an uptime of 32
days. This leads me to believe it isn't a hardware problem (no signal 11's
in tons of compiling) but we know that is far from concrete.
I'm pretty sure everything is here that is needed. klogd did the dirty work
for me, right?
The next two are the most recent ones. (Since trying pre2.0.34) but they
still happen. Hopefully these can be explained. If someone does take a
look at these, maybe they have some time to explain what the oops is
showing.
