Hi all! :)

I have just upgraded a RedHat 5 system, to glibc 2.06, installed pgcc
1.01, and compiled 2.1.81pre1 with only a few minor warnings.

Firstly I have noticed a "visual" speed improvement with the running
kernel compiled -O6 and -mpentium on my P133 and humble 16mb ram. Netscape
has gone from taking around a minute to load (yuck) to a lot less than
that (more like 10 seconds now).

It is interesting that a change in compiler can bring such benefits! :)

Hmm, just noticed that rpc.mountd refuses to load and kills portmap..

Anyway, I'll leave you all to it..
