Jaz gone bad?

Ok,
I'm running 2.1.78. I run an adaptec 3940UW. On channel B I have a
Jaz (internal drive in an external case) and a CDR. I configured my
adaptec driver with this:

<*> Adaptec AIC7xxx support
[*] Enable tagged command queueing
<*> Override driver defaults for commands per LUN
(12) Maximum number of commands per LUN
[*] Enable SCB paging
[*] Collect statistics to report in /proc
(10) Delay in seconds after SCSI bus reset

Now, when I try and write to my jaz I get alot of errors about the
device being busy, a Que of 12 and then another number starts incrementing.
I can't cut and paste it because it pegs the machine out and doesn't even
write a line to the syslog. A ctrl-alt-del beeps, but never seems to
accomplish anything. All proccess that caused it, exit or die also.

Robert
