IO-APIC #2, 2.1.84 - nogo

I am using a ASUS P2L97-DS board (LX440 AGP chipset).
It initially worked with 2.1.80 (when a pirq commandline
arg was supplied). With the APIC enabler patch #2, i'm
unable to get it to work.

- it boots if no pirq commandline argument is present
(it's backlisted due to OEM00000 ....)
- using a commandline argument pirq=0 causes a hang
during SCSI bus scan
- using the pirq commandline argument which used to work
with 2.1.80 causes a hangup during SCSI bus scan.
- I tried some (not all) combinations of the pirq
settings, however i failed to succeed so far.

Any suggestions ?
