I got it and tried the PnP-ISA staff.

If compiled as a module - fails to load because of missing symbols.

If compiled in the kernel - Hung on reboot immediately after
"Searching for PnP-ISA devices..."
After a reset it rebootted OK but reports "Np PnP ISA cards found."

The system is an old 486. No PnP BIOS and there is one PnP IA card
inside.
