NFS client (or maybe automount) problems in 2.1.8[56]

Greetings,

I am having problems with Linux NFS client on my Linux box.
The system is an up-to-date RH5.0 running 2.1.8[56] compiled
by egcs-1.0.1. Hardware is single-CPU P120, 3c90x NIC, i430VX chipset.
It has some NFS-mounted volumes managed by automount. The system makes
occasionaly a few-second delay when running a command (in PATH there are few
directories on automounted volume), which is quite annoying.
On a freshly booted 2.1.86 (with obvious kfree_skb fixes to make it compile)
the dmesg few seconds after login has may RPC errors (attached).
My kernel config is attached too. It has a lot of routing features
enabled, but at this moment only autofs and unix socket modules were
loaded. The routing setup is pretty trivial: loopback device,
eth0 with one IP address and one default route through eth0.
No IPFW rules were set up.

The NFS volumes are mounted from two servers: first is a
Linux-2.0.33 with user-space nfsd (RH5.0 too) and the second is
IRIX 6.2 system.

I am willing to investigate this further (testing a different
compiler, making a minimal kernel setup, sending additional informations
etc) if someone is interested in helping me.

Sincerely,

-Yenya
