I find this alarming; I run the stable kernel and have tails of syslogs
on the last VTs which are accessible from the three rightmost on the
upper row (pause/break et al in combinataion with shift, control and
alt); i have 12 syslogs tailed on these three. I wouldn't want to lose
this ability if a key is hardcoded into the kernel; could you explain a
bit about this 2.1 feature so I can panic now before 2.2 comes out with
it?
