another report. I pulled down and installed 2.1.91-pre2 + the one
liner patch dave sent earlier.
Everything seemed ok.
Another friend was not able to telnet in from his ppp connection.
The only thing in the logs was:
Mar 25 21:10:39 jelerak telnetd[3462]: ttloop: peer died: Invalid or
incomplete multibyte or wide character
Figuring this might be related to the mtu discovery thing, I did the:
echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_no_pmtu_disc
my friend was able to login.
As I was talking to him I noticed a grinding. Doing a top showed
kswapd with 75% cpu load. The load started to climb in my procmeter,
the amount of free memory climed, the amount of swap also increased.
The console became totally unresponsive, and I had to hit the reset
button. ;(
no oops or other messages logged upon reboot (in 2.1.90 ;)
My config:

128m memory
