I'm using kernel 2.1.91 on a 486Cx with SBPro (which the kernel sound
driver considers to be very old) and on a Pentium with SB16 ASP.
While sound works on the SBPro as before when I had 2.1.86 running,
it gives me some trouble on the SB16. After booting Linux I always can
play one piece of DSP music (eg. .wav with sox or bplay). After it's
finished and I want to play the very same or another tune, I get a
DMA (output) timeout. But the IRQ and DRAM settings are the same that
I used successfully with 2.1.86.
Any ideas what might be wrong?
Thanks,
Ulf
